Rope Drop begins at 5:00 a.m. daily.
Employees should arrive early enough to look awake, locate the ceremonial rope,
and rehearse saying “Good morning!” without sounding like they have considered
walking into the interdimensional mist.
Do not wake the General Manager.
The General Manager is resting beneath the central castle and has not approved
any schedule changes. Questions should be directed to Sandy.
Employee demoralization is encouraged.
Properly managed disappointment keeps expectations realistic, reduces turnover
paperwork, and helps maintain the park’s traditional atmosphere.
Remember to smile.
Smiles are part of the uniform and must be returned at the end of every shift
in substantially the same condition.
Overtime is a state of mind.
Employees who remain after closing may receive additional hours, character
development, or access to a timeline in which they already went home.
Breaks are magical.
Like most magic, they are brief, difficult to verify, and may be interrupted
when a guest begins screaming near the carousel.
Never promise a raise to a unicorn.
They understand currency, labor organizing, and contract law better than management.
