Marcus St. James is a soldier, junkyard engineer, builder of dangerous machines, and owner of the keycard everybody keeps needing. He survived years inside the Labyrinth of Meaning and came back with very little patience for haunted nonsense.
He is gruff, prepared, and usually the person physically pulling everyone else away from the latest terrible decision.
Lemon Phan is a musician, professional bad influence, and younger brother of Liam, another member of the Foxglove 30. His appetite has become an issue with both medical and cosmic dimensions.
He can be reckless, chaotic, and impossible to supervise. He is also deeply loyal, unexpectedly gentle, and more likely than anyone to defend a friend.
Victoria Davis is a photographer with a camera, a sharp memory, and an impossible connection to the Echo. After the Foxglove disappearances, she carried secrets about Liam, Madison, and the night everything changed and was bullied for it by whole town. Turns out it was not her fault -- Whoops.
She is cautious right up until power offers her one moment of control. She hates being called Vicky. This is the only warning.
